Two-Day Workshop on Physical Science (Class X)

The Science Centre successfully organized a *two-day hands-on workshop on Physical Science for Class Xusing its *Mobile Folding Lab*, in collaboration with *Aulia High School (H.S.), Jhargram* as the host institution.
37 selected students from 6 neighbouring schools, including the host school, actively participated in the workshop. The pedagogy was purely experiential — students performed hands-on experiments, recorded data, verified scientific principles, and built conceptual understanding through direct observation and inquiry. The aim was not only to strengthen their grasp of Physical Science but also to motivate them to pursue science at the +2 level with confidence.
The most heartening outcome emerged during the feedback session. Participants unanimously opined that *if teaching in schools is conducted in this interactive, experiment-based form, learning becomes truly joyful and the fear associated with science subjects automatically vanishes.
The Headmaster of Aulia High School (H.S.) expressed his immense pleasure and gratitude for hosting the workshop. He appreciated the initiative as a significant academic enrichment for students of the region.
The Science Centre extends sincere thanks to the host school and all participating schools for their cooperation. The Centre has also committed to extend full support with its Mobile Folding Lab to any of the participating schools desiring to organize a similar workshop in the future.
In essence, the workshop transformed fear into curiosity and textbooks into lived experience.
